A Prayer for Embracing God's Call to Excellence

Lord Jesus,

Thank You for calling me into the marketplace with purpose and intention. You’ve placed me in this position not to simply succeed by the world’s standards, but to reflect Your excellence in how I work, serve, and lead. Forgive me, Lord, for the times I settle for “good enough” when You’ve invited me to more—not out of striving, but out of worship.

Discipline me where I lack focus. Give me strength to lean in when I want to check out. Teach me to finish well, with integrity, even in the unseen details. And for those times when perfectionism tempts me or others to stay stuck—release us. Help us to know when enough is enough, and when excellence has been offered with a pure heart.

Help me humbly accept Your better way—a path that is both holy and sustainable. May I neither coast in mediocrity nor become imprisoned by perfectionism. Shape me into a leader who seeks Your glory above my comfort or reputation.

Let my work reflect Your brilliance. Let my presence point to Your grace. Make me faithful, Lord. Excellent in spirit. Humble in posture. And joyful in the journey.
