A Prayer for Righteousness — Living Right with God
Father in Heaven,
Thank You for inviting me not just to work for You but to walk with You.
You are God, and I am not — and that truth brings peace to my restless soul.
Thank You for Your mercy that makes me right, for Jesus whose finished work covers my striving and calls me into friendship with You.
Teach me humility, Lord. Let gratitude be my starting point every morning.
When pride whispers that I’m in control, remind me of Your greatness and my dependence on Your grace.
Keep me small enough to stay close to You and bold enough to serve You well.
Help me honor You with my time — to slow down, to listen, to make space for what matters.
Show me how to redeem the moments You give so that my schedule reflects eternal priorities.
Strengthen me to care for this temple You’ve entrusted to me.
May what I eat, how I rest, and how I move all bring glory to You.
Let my health serve Your purpose, not my pride.
Tune my ears, Lord, to hear Your voice above the noise —
to listen before I speak, to understand before I judge, to sense Your Spirit guiding my steps.
And finally, Father, teach me to love well.
Let my relationships reflect Your heart — marked by care, compassion, forgiveness, and grace.
Where there is rupture, bring repair; where there is pride, plant peace.
Make my life a living picture of righteousness —
right with You, right within, and right toward others.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
